Red Desert was founded in 2008 by Pedro Neves. Its films have won several prizes and have been presented in several  around the world, including Clermont-Ferrand, Guadalajara, Doclisboa, Cartagena IFF, CPH:DOX, Documenta Madrid, Curtas Vila do Conde, Curtas de São Paulo, Curtas Belo Horizonte, L’ Alternativa, Festival de Lille, Porto Post Doc, Indie Lisboa, among others.

At Doclisboa 2026, the film Os Continuadores da Revolução: we must not forget the past, selected for the Portuguese Competition, received the Audience "Rights and Freedom" Award.

The Beach from director Pedro Neves will be screened at Shortcutz Lisbon as a guest short film on October 6 at 9 PM.
